Requiem for a Young Man is a musical stage work created and produced by Ronald Owen. It premiered in Orlando, Florida in May 2012. A multi-genre project, combining elements of opera, oratorio, ballet and musical theater, Requiem immerses audiences of diverse backgrounds and ages into the journey of a young man who falls in love, answers his country’s call to serve, and leaves family and friends to fight on a foreign field.

“As Americans, we experience and enjoy a tremendous amount of freedom in our country. All generations should recall and remember the countless sacrifices made for our freedom. It is my hope and prayer that “Requiem for a Young Man” goes out to towns and cities across America as a work of remembrance, healing, and hope.”
– Ronald Owen
