Fast Fact: Best Instrumental Album of the Year at the GMA Dove Awards (2007)

End of the Spear is a full-length motion picture that tells the story of five missionaries and their attempt to share the Gospel message with the Huaorani (Waodani) people of Eastern Ecuador in 1956. The film is presented from the perspective of Steve Saint, whose father Nate Saint was a missionary killed in the encounter.

Ronald Owen composed, orchestrated, conducted and co-produced the score for the film. Music was recorded in Prague with the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and Chorus.

“Steve Saint was moved by the music I created for the documentary, Beyond the Gates of Splendor. So the Director and Producer engaged me to compose the score for End of the Spear, the feature film adaptation of the story. My involvement with Steve, his father’s story, and the Waodani was a life-changing experience.” – Ronald Owen
