Beyond the Gates of Splendor is a full-length documentary film that describes the events leading up to and following Operation Auca, in which five American missionaries were killed by the Huaorani tribe of Ecuador.
Ronald Owen served as the composer, orchestrator, and conductor for the film score, recorded with the Seattle Symphony. Beyond the Gates of Splendor was released by Twentieth Century Fox on DVD in October 2005.
